BC OWNERS BONUS:
• When a BC Bred horse aged 2 through 5 years old finishes first, second, or third in a pari-
mutuel race in B.C., the Owner may receive a BC Bred Owners Bonus.
The bonus amount is based on a percentage of the purse winnings with a maximum amount
being calculated on the first $5,000 of the race.
The calculation for this award includes all races, overnights, stake races, legs, eliminations,
divisions and finals. No award is paid on a claiming race under $4,500.
BC BROODMARE BONUS:
The Owner of the Broodmare at the time of service may receive a bonus when a BC Bred horse
aged 2 through 6 years old finishes first, second or third in a pari-mutual race in B.C.
If that Owner was a non-resident of BC at the time of service, the Owner of the Mare at time
of foaling may receive the bonus providing that person is a resident of BC.
The bonus amount is based on a percentage of the purse winnings with a maximum amount
being calculated on the first $5,000 of the race.
The calculation for this bonus amount includes all races, overnights, stake races, legs,
eliminations, divisions and finals. No award is paid on claiming under $4,500.
In order to be eligible to any of the incentives provided by HRBC, recipients must be a member
in good standing with Harness Racing BC, as of January 1st of every year.
